The Open Defence and Public Viva Voce Examination of NCERT Doctoral Fellow, Ms. Bini T. V. on the topic “Development and Validation of an Instructional Package Based on Bhagavad Gita for Emotion Regulation among Secondary School Students” was conducted on 25 May 2026 at NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The study was undertaken under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Menon K. P. and the session was chaired by Dr. Ismail Thamarasseri. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Principal, was present and conveyed his best wishes to the scholar. The programme began at 10.30 a.m. with a prayer and Acharya Vandanam. During the presentation, the scholar elaborated on the philosophical foundations of the Bhagavad Gita, the development and validation of the instructional package, and its effectiveness in promoting emotion regulation among adolescents. The discussion that followed highlighted the relevance of value-based educational interventions in addressing contemporary emotional and behavioural challenges faced by students. The programme concluded with the National Anthem at 1.00 p.m.
