Ph D Open Defence of Ms. Zenmerryn Antony

 Public Viva-voce and open defence  on Ph D.  in Education of Ms. Zenmerryn Antony, ICSSR Doctoral Fellow was conducted on 20th April, 2026 at 10.00 am in the College Auditorium.

The research  entitled, "Effectiveness of Yoga Based Intervention Programme (YBIP) on Emotional Resilience and Academic Achievement of  Model Residential School Students at Secondary Level" was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Mridula K., Associate Professor, NSS Training College, Ottapalam.

The open defence and public viva-voce was adjudicated by Prof.(Dr.) Issac Paul, Principal,Govt. Brennen College of Teacher Education, Thalassery.

Principal in-charge Prof.(Dr) Suresh Kumar K welcomed the audience. Subsequently, the research supervisor, Dr. Mridula K., introduced the Chairman Prof.(Dr.) Issac Paul, and the Research Scholar, Ms. Zenmerryn Antony. Following the introductory remarks of the adjudicator about the research study, the scholar presented her research work before the audience. She then defended  the thesis and answered the queries raised by the audience and the Chairman. 

Upon the successful completion of viva-voce the Chairman, Prof.(Dr.) Issac Paul, recommended the award of  Doctor of Philosophy in Education to Zenmerryn Antony. The session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the research scholar Ms. Zenmerryn Antony.

CTET Qualifiers- Natural Science Optional


NSS Training College, Ottapalam, organized a recognition initiative to acknowledge the academic achievement of its 2nd Year B.Ed Natural Science students who successfully qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET – Category II). The event highlighted the dedication and consistent effort of the students, namely Aswathi K M, Naseeha K T, Sruthy V C, Anjana Prakash K, Sabira A, Nimisha M, and Jasmin Thomas. Their success reflects the academic support and structured training provided by the institution.

The programme served as a platform to appreciate student accomplishment and to motivate peers to strive for similar excellence. The Teacher-in-Charge, Dr. Anu S, and the Principal-in-Charge, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar K, extended their congratulations and emphasized the importance of professional competency in teaching careers. The institution reaffirmed its commitment to quality teacher education and continued academic mentoring. The event concluded on a note of pride and encouragement, inspiring future batches to achieve commendable success in national-level eligibility examinations.
