The Open Defence and Public Viva Voce Examination of NCERT Doctoral Fellow, Ms. Sruthi S. on the topic “Educational Aspiration in Relation to Home Environment, Self-Regulation and Gender Sensitivity of Tamil Linguistic Minority Students of Kerala” was held on 20 May 2026 at NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The research was completed under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Seema Menon K. P. and the session was chaired by Prof. G. R. Angadi. The programme was attended by Dr. Suresh Kumar, Principal, faculty members, research scholars, and students. The session commenced at 10.30 a.m. with a prayer and Acharya Vandanam. The scholar presented a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing educational aspiration among Tamil linguistic minority students, emphasizing the roles of home environment, self-regulation, and gender sensitivity. The findings stimulated meaningful discussions on minority education, student motivation, and the socio-psychological determinants of educational achievement.
