Our college organized the Induction Programme for the newly admitted B.Ed. and M.Ed. batches (2026–2028) on 15 July 2026 in the College General Hall. The programme was designed to warmly welcome the new students and familiarize them with the vision, mission, academic culture, and professional expectations of the institution.

The inaugural session was addressed by Prof. Dr. Sureshkumar K., Principal, Dr. Sajan K. S., Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, Sri. Mohanakumar, and Dr. Ravishankar. The speakers motivated the students to pursue academic excellence, uphold professional ethics, actively engage in research and innovation, and make effective use of the opportunities available during their teacher education programme. The session provided valuable guidance on the responsibilities and expectations of future teachers in the changing educational landscape.

Following the induction programme, the Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) General Body Meeting was conducted. The meeting witnessed the active participation of 69 parents and guardians, making it a meaningful and productive interaction between the institution and the parents. The Principal presented an overview of the college's academic activities, institutional policies, and plans for the academic year. Parents shared several constructive suggestions and valuable feedback, which were discussed positively and accepted for consideration in strengthening the academic and co-curricular environment of the college.

During the General Body Meeting, the members elected four new Executive Committee members and two General Auditors to the PTA. Subsequently, the newly constituted PTA Executive Committee convened its first meeting in the Principal's Chamber, where matters related to the functioning of the PTA and the implementation of activities for the academic year were discussed.

The day's programmes reflected the college's commitment to fostering academic excellence, strengthening parent–institution collaboration, and ensuring the holistic development of student teachers.

Two-Day Research Seminar

This is to inform you that the IQAC of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, is organizing a two-day research seminar for the Ph.D. scholars and M.Ed. students of the college.

This is the first circular regarding the seminar. The details are provided below:

  Theme:           Teacher Education in India: Trends, Challenges, and Future Directions

Dates:             13 & 14 August 2026

Research scholars who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting the viva voce examination are also welcome to participate. Erstwhile research scholars and MEd students are cordially invited to attend and present papers if they so desire.


Scholars are informed to prepare either a thematic paper or a research paper on any one of the above sub-themes. Papers on allied topics relevant to the central theme of the seminar, other than the mentioned sub themes, are also welcome.

Presentation Guidelines:

ü  Prepare a PowerPoint presentation containing 8–15 slides with minimal animations.

ü  Each presenter will be allotted 10–15 minutes, followed by a discussion and feedback session.

ü  The full paper must be submitted before the commencement of the seminar for peer review, if they wish to include the paper in publication of materials.

ü  Authors should ensure academic integrity by maintaining plagiarism below 10% and keeping AI-generated content within the permissible institutional limits. Papers that do not satisfy the prescribed quality standards may not be accepted for presentation.

ü  Joint Authorship: Joint papers are permitted. A maximum of three authors may be included, and one of the three authors should be the research supervisor. If three/two authors, all authors must join for presentation on stage. (Supervisor is exempted)

ü  All research scholars are requested to begin preparing their papers at the earliest and be ready for presentation on the scheduled dates

First Allotment Admission Instructions

Candidates who have been allotted admission to the M.Ed Programme at NSS Training College, Ottapalam in the First Allotment are requested to report to the college on Monday for completing the admission process.

Step 1: Complete the Google Form

Please fill out the Google Form before coming for admission.

Step 2: Download and Complete the Admission Forms

After submitting the Google Form, you will receive the admission forms by email. Please:

• Download and print all the forms.
• Fill in all the details carefully.
• Sign wherever required.
• Paste a recent passport-size photograph in the space provided.
• Submit the completed forms during the admission process.

Documents to be Produced (Originals)

Please bring the following original documents:

• All certificates and mark lists
• Aadhaar Card
• Transfer Certificate (TC)
• Conduct Certificate (CC, issued within the last six months)
• CAP ID Printout
• Admit Card
• Mandatory Fee Payment Receipt

Photocopies Required

Please bring:

• One self-attested photocopy of all certificates and mark lists.
• One additional photocopy each of the SSLC Certificate and B.Ed Certificate.

• Community and PwD rank list published on 04 July 2026.

• All allotted candidates must pay the mandatory fee.

• SC/ST/OEC and equivalent reservation candidates must pay ₹155.

• Other candidates must pay ₹610.

• Last date for mandatory fee payment is 07 July 2026, 3.00 PM.

• Use the latest printed application at the time of admission.

• Candidates unable to report in person can complete admission through online certificate verification within the prescribed time.

• Permanent admission is given only after payment of the mandatory fee.

• Candidates retaining higher options must pay the mandatory fee and wait for the second allotment.

• Candidates satisfied with the allotted option should cancel higher options and take permanent admission.

• If a higher option is allotted later, the previous allotment will be cancelled automatically.

• Candidates who do not pay the mandatory fee will lose the current allotment and future allotment chances.

• Colleges must complete first allotment admissions by 07 July 2026, 3.00 PM.

• Colleges must upload admitted student details by 07 July 2026, 4.00 PM.

• Students can submit the Transfer Certificate (TC) up to the last date of admission.

• All original certificates except the TC should be returned after verification.

• Second allotment will be published on 10 July 2026.

• Management quota admissions begin on 04 July 2026.

• Classes will commence on 15 July 2026.

• Late registration and editing are allowed from 16 July to 18 July 2026.

• Waiting rank list will be published on 23 July 2026.

• Last date of admission is 14 August 2026.
