In observance of World Mental Health Day, NSS Training College, Ottapalam, organized an awareness session on mental health, led by Professor Seema Menon K. P. The session aimed to sensitize student teachers to the warning signs and risk factors associated with Mental disturbances and emphasize the importance of timely intervention. It also highlighted the vital role of teachers and educational institutions in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting mental well-being, and extending appropriate support to students experiencing psychological challenges. The programme reinforced the importance of empathy, awareness, and collective responsibility in building a mentally healthy society.
