Inauguration of Mathematics Club and Release of Digital magazine

 Mathematics Club for the academic year 2020-2021 of NSS Training College, Ottapalam  is inaugurated virtually on 29.09.2020,2pm by  the Chief guest R.Ramanujam sir,  SRG, Kerala.  The name of the club inspire is also announced today. The release of digital magazine is done by our college principal Prof(Dr) Ampili Aravind Mam. The chief guest delivered an informative talk on "Math IT Lab".  Falicitation wasDwas made by Dr.  K.S Sajan , IQAC coordinator,; Dr.Sureshkumar K., Associate Professor,; Dr.Sethu S.Nath, Staff Advisor,:  Navaneeth Krishnan and Union Chairman.

NSS Training college Ottapalam on behalf of Natural Science Association observed World Heart Day 2020 on September 29th.

Health & Beauty with Ayurveda - National Webinar

Women's Cell of the college conducted a National Webinar on the theme " Health & Beauty with  Ayurveda". Dr. Sharika Menon, Ayurvedic Physician from Sri  Sri Tatwa, Bangalore delivered the invited talk. The session was well received with participation from students, teachers & other interested attendees from different walks of life. More than 100 participants made use of the session.

One Day National Webinar

Haritha Nature Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam in collaboration with IQAC conducted One Day National Webinar on ‘Importancertance of Wild Life Week Celebration' on 26th September 2020.

 Dr. K.S Sajan, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator of the institution welcomed the resource person and online gathering. Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal, N.S.S Training College Ottapalam inaugurated the webinar and Ms. Lekshmi V Assistant Professor NSS Training College Ottapalam and Convenor of Haritha Nature Club offered felicitation. The Nature Education Officer of Periyar Tiger Conservation Foundation, Periyar Tiger Reserve Dr.Asha Rani who is an Alumni of NSS Training College Ottapalam acted as the resource person. Around 89 participants were there.

At the end of fruitful session, online quizz competition was conducted and Ms. Soumya, M.Ed student of the institution grabbed the first prize, Ms. Athira Murali, Physical Science and Ms Anjitha K, Natural Science secured second and third positions.

"Beyond the Boundaries" A live interaction with the paired institution, GCTE, Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh over Google Meet organized by EBSB Club

 A live interaction session with the paired institution, GCTE, Dharmshala, Himachal Pradesh over  Google Meet  was organized by EBSB Club  of the college today,  at 2.00 pm. Principal Prof.(Dr) Ampili Aravind inaugurated the program. The EBSB  club Coordinator and Associate Professor of GCTE, Dharmshala Dr Beena C. Nair delivered the introductory remarks. Two prospective teachers ,Ms. Mridula K P and Ms. Aparna Sharma gave a brief description about  their colleges NSS Training College, Ottapalam and GCTE, Dharmshala respectively. Variety entertainments by the student teachers of both the states made the session colourful. The interactive sessions in between the programs was informative and the participants got the opportunity  to know more about each others culture, tradition, festivals, food habits, art, sports and much more. The presence of faculty members  from both the institutions made the program more meaningful. The EBSB club Secretary  Ms Manjusha proposed the vote of thanks and the session concluded by 4.30 pm .

Certificate for Recognized Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta and Rural Engagement Cell (SEC REC) Institution

  This is to certify that NSS TRAINING COLLEGE OTTAPALAM is now a Recognized  Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta and Rural Engagement Cell (SEC REC) Institution.  The Institution has successfully framed the SES REC Action Plan and constituted ten working groups for improving facilities in the Campus and the Community/Adopted Villages in the areas of Sanitation & Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management, Energy Conservation and Greenery post COVID-19, along with the observation of three environment, entrepreneurship and community engagement related days to inculcate in faculty, students and community, the practices of Mentoring, Social Responsibility, Swachhta and Care for Environment and Resources.
