Report on Antibiotic Literacy Campaign

The Antibiotic Literacy Campaign was organized by the Natural Science Association of NSS Training College, Ottapalam with the objective of creating awareness about antibiotic resistance and the importance of responsible medicine usage.
The programme began in the morning with an awareness presentation on antibiotic resistance, highlighting the causes, consequences, and preventive measures related to the misuse of antibiotics. The session emphasized the need for taking antibiotics strictly under a doctor’s prescription.

As part of the campaign, a Flash Mob in the form of a mime was conducted at 1:00 pm in the Open Auditorium. The mime effectively conveyed key messages such as avoiding self-medication, following medical prescriptions, proper usage of antibiotics, and completing the prescribed dosage. The performance attracted attention and delivered the message in an engaging and impactful manner.

The event was efficiently coordinated by the student coordinators Akshydev A, Athira Haridas, and Treesa Mol C J. The campaign successfully contributed to enhancing awareness among students regarding antibiotic literacy and public health responsibility
