An awareness talk on Antibiotic Literacy Campaign was conducted on 19 January
2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall of NSS Training College, Ottappalam, as part of
the activities of the Natural Science Association. The programme was organized and presented by 2nd year B.Ed. Natural Science students.

The session was presented by Nimisha M, Aswathi K.M, Anjana Prakash K, and

among students about the proper use of antibiotics, the dangers of misuse and
overuse, and the growing problem of antibiotic resistance.

The presenters explained the importance of using antibiotics only on medical advice,
completing the full course of prescribed medicines, and avoiding self-medication. Visual aids such as PowerPoint slides and posters were used effectively to make the session engaging and informative. The audience actively participated in the discussion and clarified their doubts regarding antibiotic use.

The programme was successful in spreading awareness about responsible antibiotic
practices and highlighted the role of students in promoting public health literacy. The
session concluded with a message emphasizing the need for collective responsibility in preventing antibiotic resistance.
