Cancer Awareness Program
The
Dhwani Women Development Cell, in collaboration with NSS Unit 301, NSS Training
College, Ottapalam, organised a Cancer Awareness Program on 22 January 2026 at
10.00 AM in the General Hall of the college. The programme was conducted
with the objective of creating awareness about cancer, its causes, early
symptoms, prevention methods, and the importance of timely diagnosis. The
session aimed to educate students about adopting healthy lifestyle practices
and reducing fear and stigma associated with cancer through proper knowledge
and awareness. Mrs. Dhara V C, Co-ordinator, Ottapalam
Welfare Trust, served as the resource person. She delivered an informative
and engaging talk on various types of cancer, common risk factors, early
warning signs, and preventive measures.
