 Ms. Nicy P G and Ms. Reshma M R have been awarded the ICSSR Doctoral fellowship for the year 2024-2025.

YIP Orientation Program-" Igniting Minds: YIP for Transformative Innovation"

 An orientation program on the Young Innovators Program (YIP), " Igniting Minds: YIP for Transformative Innovation" was successfully conducted today.  The program started at 9.30 a.m with a prayer at the General Hall. The session aimed at empowering prospective teachers to develop innovative solutions for societal challenges. Mr. Sai Prasanth., Program Executive, KDISC., the resource person for the program engaged  115 student teachers and oriented them on how to come up with creative ideas to address various issues confronted by mankind. Topics on protecting Planet Earth, waste management, climate change, education, and teaching and learning were the thrust areas of discussion. Ms. Anjali. P., Assistant Professor, welcomed the  RP and the gathering. Prof.(Dr) Smitha R.  Principal-in-Charge, inaugurated the program and Ms. Aparna Nair delivered the vote of thanks. The two-hour interactive session came to an end at 11.30 am.

Human Rights Day Observance 2024

On 10th December 2024, Human Rights Forum of NSS Training College, Ottapaalam, observed Human Rights Day under the coordination of Prof (Dr) Suresh Kumar K.

The event commenced with  prayer and Acharya anusmaranam, followed by  welcome speech delivered by Miss Soumya.P.  Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar K. presented the presidential address and the day observance was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R., the principal in charge. 

Human Rights Forum members Dr. K.S. Sajan and Dr. Lekshmi V.  felicitated the event and Ms Manju.P.K and Ms Gayathri.M.S presented the theme.The theme for Human Rights Day 2024 is 'Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,' which highlights the impact of human rights on people's lives every day. An animated video titled "The World We Want" was screened as part of the theme presentation. 

A short film titled "The Dropout" was screened at the end of the session. Miss P. Sreeja delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with a symbolic gesture of palm impressions on a chart, representing the Human Rights Tree. 

Conclave at TRKHSS

TRKHSS in collaboration with NSS Training College Ottapalam conducted a conclave"ALT+TAB-Career" on 06/12/24 at 2 pm. Sri Jayadas T ( HSST, TRKHSS) presided the function. Ms. Drisya.E.S (BEd Trainee, NSS Training College Ottapalam) rendered the welcome address. The event was inaugurated by Sri Jagadeesh , HM of TRKHSS and felicitated by Prof (Dr) Smitha R , Principal in charge of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. Dr KS Sajan , Dr Mridula K and Dr Lekshmi V of NSS Training College, Ottapalam and Sri Vinod M, Ms Liji and Ms Sajitha T M of TRKHSS  acted as resource persons. Sri Vishnu K V, Teacher trainee of NSS Training College rendered vote of thanks. Students of HS section and HSS section very actively and enthusiastically participated in the event.

 Presentation Skill Development Workshop for M Ed - 1st Sem- 04 & 0 December, 2024 

IQAC - NSS Tc Ottapalam 

On December 4 and 5, 2024, the college's IQAC  host a two-day workshop for M Ed (first semester) students to develop their presentation skills. Presentation with the support of PowerPoint, the program aimed to improve students' presentation skills while involving them in presenting a research paper or proposal to an academic audience. Each student is given 10 to 12 minutes to present a paper, following a discussion session. The students enthusiastically participated in the session and it was very become a very fruitful academic event. The presentation was organized in 10 technical sessions, and sessions were chaired by the selected students. The precise crux of presentations after each technical session. The presentations were assessed, and a grade was provided to all. 

Prof Dr. Smitha R, Principal i/c, inaugurated the workshop, which was presided over by Ms. Anju Prasad, an M Ed student. Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleri, IQAC coordinator, explained the theme of the workshop.  The felicitation address was delivered by Mnjusha K (m Ed student) and Saranya KS (M Ed student) expressed the Vote of Thanks.
