An orientation program on the Young Innovators Program (YIP), " Igniting Minds: YIP for Transformative Innovation" was successfully conducted today. The program started at 9.30 a.m with a prayer at the General Hall. The session aimed at empowering prospective teachers to develop innovative solutions for societal challenges. Mr. Sai Prasanth., Program Executive, KDISC., the resource person for the program engaged 115 student teachers and oriented them on how to come up with creative ideas to address various issues confronted by mankind. Topics on protecting Planet Earth, waste management, climate change, education, and teaching and learning were the thrust areas of discussion. Ms. Anjali. P., Assistant Professor, welcomed the RP and the gathering. Prof.(Dr) Smitha R. Principal-in-Charge, inaugurated the program and Ms. Aparna Nair delivered the vote of thanks. The two-hour interactive session came to an end at 11.30 am.
