Yoga Day Celebrated

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

International yoga day was observed in the college on June 21, 2018.A national

seminar on “Yoga-for holistic well being” was conducted in our college.

Programme started with prayer and welcome speech by Ms. Nithya (Student

Representative) our Physical Education teacher Mr. Akhil K Sreedhar presided

over the session. Programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Lakshmi K

.Nair. A key note address on the significance of yoga was delivered by the

honorable guest Mr. Ramesh V, yogacharya. Seminar was felicitated by Dr. KS

Sajan and Dr. Seema Menon Assisttant Professors of the college. Yoga

demonstrations and yoga class was also conducted .Warming up, standing, sitting

and lying postures or asanas were done. Surya namaskar and breathing

techniques like pranayama were also practiced by the students. The session

ended with meditations. All the M.Ed, B.Ed students took part in the seminar and

yoga practices. Paper presentation on yoga was there in the afternoon and

certificates were distributed.

Sent off function for the Senior batch students was conducted on 28 th March 2018

Red ribbon club program

Red ribbon club members under the guidance of the teacher co- ordinator, Dr.Seema Menon K.P made a visit to Ayur Bathaniya hospital, Thrissur." Health and Healing unto the fullness of life " is their motto. They welcomed the group with a welcome drink. There were classes on the hospital facilities led by Mr. Manoj Francis, and a class on " well being with Ayurveda " by Dr. Amrutha and also on organic farming by Mr. Vincent. Students visited their organic farm, pharmacy and  various facilities. There were provision to buy their products and also for consultation with doctors. The group left  the college at 10 am and reached back at 4.30 pm. The trip was really  informative and students enjoyed the trip.
