Science day

On behalf of Science Club,Science day February 28,2019 was celebrated at NSS training College, Ottapalam.Science Club Co. ordinator Dr Sheeba Krishnan delivered welcome speech for the program' Scienza'.Principal in charge ,Dr Ampili Aravind inaugurated the function .Ms. Maneesha  M presided over the function. Staff Advisor, Dr Seema Menon K P and Mrs. Ramya K, Science Club Co. Ordinator   delivered felicitation for the program. Ms. Athira T ,Association Secretary offered Vote of thanks. Manuscript Magazine Horizon was released.Documentary, Dance Drama, Science Show, Quiz competition and Collage Competition were conducted. Dr Chithra L and Dr A Binuraj evaluated the collages and prizes were distributed.

Women cell program

Women cell 2018 - 19 conducted a talk on  Bio Psycho Social Issues  for teacher trainees in the college on 21.02.2019. D The content was presented by Dr. Usha Nambisan and Smitha K K. Welcome speech was delivered by Anagha, one of the members of Women Cell and it was followed by the interactive session by guests. The main areas covered by them were personality skills, adolescent problems like depression, suicide tendencies, behavioural problems, mental health disorders, drug and substance abuse, psychological problems, social problems, sexual health problems, addiction to cyber space etc. They suggested some measures to overcome the problems. The class was very informative and they were able to gain the attention of the students. The way they interacted with the students was very interesting. After that there was a communal session, and moreover good feedback and support from the student teachers made the talk very useful and informative.Bhagyalalkshmi delivered vote of thanks after the session

Sell a Skill-Be an Entrepreneur(SUPW Workshop)

 An SUPW workshop for students of NSSKPT VHSS was organized by the student teachers. They provided handson experience on making various products like envelop, covers, bow etc. Teachers of the school also participated in session on ornament making.

Soldiers of Pulwama

Condolence meeting was held in the college auditorium in the morning paying tribute to martyred soldiers of Pulwama attack. Student representatives and teachers expressed their condolences

Palliative day was observed

Palliative day was observed in the college on  January 15, 2019. All the students took palliative day pledge in the assembly. A role play on palliative theme was presented in college auditorium by  students of TRK school , vaniyamkulam. The charity fund was handed over to volunteers by principal in charge, Dr. Ampili Aravind . whole college was decorated with palliative care slogans on that day. Dr.Seema Menon K.P, palliative club coordinator welcomed the gathering & co ordinated all the programs of the day.

Visit to Poly Garden

College palliative care unit visited " Poly garden ", an institution for mentally challenge men . The inmates welcomed the visitors happily & exhibited their  artistic talents . Palliative volunteers handed over the collected dresses, distributed sweets & Entertained the inmates through a few cultural programs.The interactions with the inmates was  heart touching..

Women development cell 'Jwala' 2018 - 19 conducted a video presentation based on women empowerment in the college on 06.12.2018.
