Awareness program:Ayurveda as a lifestyle for wellbeing
Vimukthi Club & Medical Inspection Club in association with the Government Ayurveda Hospital, Ottapalam organised awareness program for the students of NSS Training College Ottapalam on 08/11/2023 . Ms Aiswarya offered the welcome address. College Principal Prof(Dr) Ampili Aravind inaugurated the program. Dr Hareeshwaran, CMO, Govt Ayurveda Hospital, Ottapalam, Dr Mohanan, SMO, Govt Ayurveda Hospital, Ottapalam, Dr Jeevan, Dr Arya, Dr Shanthi, Medical Officers of Govt Ayurveda Hospital, Ottapalam blessed the event with their expertise. Dr Jeevan gave the awareness class. Ms Jijitha rendered the vote of thanks. Staff Secretary Dr Lekshmi V and Mr Akshay ( Vimukthi Club member) coordinated the program.

One day workshop on' ICT Orientation with special reference to Edubuntu
One day workshop on' ICT Orientation with special reference to Edubuntu ' for BEd first semester students (A joint venture of Technogogy (IT Club)& IQAC of NSS TC, OTTAPALAM
No wonder our college initiates everything timely!!! The newest example is the one-day workshop on ‘ICT Orientation with special reference to Edubuntu’, conducted on 02/11/2023. This time it was the joint venture of Technogogy, the IT Club and IQAC of the college. The workshop was scheduled exclusively for the first semester BEd students since it is going to be the most essential practical session as far as their upcoming teaching sessions are taken into account. The inauguration of the workshop was done with an element of digital practice by Pro. (Dr). Ampili Aravind, our respected principal by introducing Augmented Reality to the audience. Just after the welcome speech and felicitation delivered by Dr. Lekshmi V and Dr. Sreevidya Nair N respectively, the technical session was commenced by the resource person, Dr. K S Sajan, IQAC Coordinator of our college.
Objectives of the Workshop:
Through the workshop, it was intended to-
Familiarise digital platforms of the college
Familiarise various digital platforms created by government for implementation in schools
Familiarise different digital tools for teachers’ perusal
Familiarise some hardware tools for teachers
The sessions:
The one-day workshop included a technical session which consisted of two presentation sessions followed by Workshop practices. In the sessions, the basic knowledge of students in ICT was checked and its significance was explained. A number of useful applications and sites such as Samagra, Edutainment materials, Digital lesson plans, E-portfolio, Poster maker, and PPT tools were introduced to the students. Microphone usage and projector operation were also being familiarised. The session also covered content creation tools like AZ Screen Recorder and online interactive Apps such as Quiziz.com, Nearpod, Whiteboard, and Mentimeter.com. The workshop focused on teaching students video editing through VN Video Editor and preparation of digital question papers with the help of Google Forms. Certain language games such as LearningApps.org, Teencraft, Plotagon Studio and Comica.
Feedback session:
The reflections in the feedback session reminded the ignorance of some students in the use of smartphones and some new applications. For this reason, too, the workshop turned out to be the most beneficial one to all students. The students left the room with confidence and enthusiasm for being digitally equipped teacher trainees with high motivation to know more….
Herbal Garden for NSSKPT VHSS
Student teachers of NSS Training College and the students of NSSKPT VHSS jointly initiated a herbal garden at the school. The plants were contributed by the students and staff of both the institutions. The students enthusiastically participated in planting the saplings. It was a step towards beautifying the school premises and creating in participants a love for nature.

1 November 2023, Ottapalam: NSS Training College Ottapalam conducted the college Union elections for the year 2023-2024. Office of the college union includes:-
From departments of English , Malayalam, Maths , Natural Science , Physical Science Social Science of Both I year and II year B.Ed and M.Ed as per the university norms class representatives and association secretaries were elected. Later The contestants were allowed to explain the purpose of their candidature. And election was conducted, unanimously a union was elected in which. Basim.A from B. Ed II year Natural Science was elected as The chaiman, Darshana.K.K from B.Ed IInd year Malayalam as Vice chairperson, Anjana.K.V from B.Ed II year Mathematicas as General Secretary, Divya E.S from II Year Natural Science as joint secretary, Aleena K shibu from I year M.Ed as Chief student editor, Sangeetha.S from II year B.Ed as Secretary fine arts , Akhila ravi from II year B.Ed social science General captain for sports and games ,Akshay.S from I year B.Ed Physical Science as university union councillor
The oath taking ceremony was conducted on the same date after the elections. Dr Smitha R ( Returning officer ) did the welcome address and announced the results. Principal Dr. Ampili Aravind did the presidential address and recited the oath to the office bearers, class representatives and association secretaries. Felicitation was done by Dr Lakshmi ( staff secretary) and Basim (chairman ) followed by Vote of thanks by Dr Sreevidhya Nair ( Union advisor)
