One day seminar on Zenith of  Research: A global perspective with special emphasis on research to repetition, artificialities of contemporary educational research was organized by the M.Ed department of our college. The programme was inaugurated by the key resource person Dr. Amruth G Kumar, associate professor of Central University Kerala. Principal in charge Dr. Ampili Aravind presided over the function. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anil Kumar K.P and staff secretary Smt.Smitha R felicitated the function.

Our former student Smt Manju P K first  Rank holder of Calicut university for M Ed examination was congratulated by the chief guest. Vote of thanks was done by M.Ed association Secretary Sri. Anil K.R. 

The inaugural session was followed by an interactive class by the key resource person Dr. Amruth G Kumar about educational research. Students and teacher esucators from various institutions from Kerala and Tamilnadu were participated in it. 

The afternoon session was for paper presentation and comptitiin. Paper presentation Competition was exclusively for M.Ed students. Students from various institutions presented paper about the seminar theme. The competition was very tight and Deepthi P.S NSS Training College Ottapalam secured the first position. Femi and Jithina of Farook Training College, Kozhikode secured second and third place respectively.

IQAC-One Day Workshop on Digital pedagogy

A workshop on 'digital pedagogy' was conducted under the aegis of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The workshop was for Malayalam teachers in training colleges under the University of Calicut. It was inaugurated by the principal Dr. Lakshmi K Nair. Dr. K.P. Anil Kumar delivered the welcome address. Smt. Smitha R, staff secretary, felicitated the function. The workshop was guided by Dr. K.S. Sajan, Dr. K.P.Anil Kumar, Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri and Sri. Mohemmed Sher

Focus film club program

As part of the promotion of the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala which is to be conducted on December 9-16, the film academy of Kerala organized a mobile film fair for exhibiting films throughout Kerala. As part of this the popular Italian film 'Bicycle Thieves' by the famous director Victorious De Siva was screened in our college. Prior to this Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, the coordinator of focus film club of our college, gave brief introduction to the film. The movie portrays the post world war condition of Italy in general and the hardships of the protagonist to get a job. The film screening was a nice experience.

• Joint paper with Guide is only allowed. One hard copy  without the name of the guide/ supervising teacher should be submitted for competition
• Power point presentation should not contain the name of the guide/ supervising teacher
• Name of the guide / supervising teacher and Name of the college/ institution should not be reveled to the judging panel
• 4 minutes with 1 minute warning time is allowed for paper presentation
• 1 minute may be allowed for question answer session or as allowed by the chair
• PowerPoint should not be brought in pen-drives ( Only CDs are allowed ., if CD may be  corrupted can also submit paper as well as power point through email - nsstcmail@gmail.com
• Pen-drives are not allowed
• If the number of papers for competition exceed, the organizing committee will scrutinize the papers and limit them

Two day workshop on questionnaire

A two day workshop on questionnaire was conducted by Dr KS Sajan for First and Third Semester M Ed Students after the a faculty development program attended from Govt College Attingal.

*Diamond jubilee celebration*

Diamond jubilee of Kerala was celebrated with a variety of programmes in our college. First of all an oath taking ceremony was conducted in the courtyard of the college in which students, teaching and non-teaching staffs were participated. The programme 'Amma Malayalam' was inaugurated by principal in charge Dr. Ampili Aravind. College Union chairman Sri. T.K.Sajeesh presided over the function. Amitha, College Union general secretary, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Sunil Kumar(staff advisor), Smitha.R(staff secretary) and Yadhu.P.R(UUC) were felicitated the function. Vote of thanks was by Majitha.K(vice chairperson). It was followed by an exhibition of antique items which proclaim the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Later different cultural programmes were conducted. The competition 'Malayali Manka' was a fabulous experience in which each contestant had to speak about the assigned topic and also had to identify different plants that are seen in our surroundings. Prizes were distributed after the competition. Revathy Vijayan, Aparna.P.R and Kavitha.C bagged fisrt, second and third prize respectively.

NSS Training College,Ottapalam  celebrated Keralapiravidinam. 

 Principal-in-charge Dr AmpiliAravind inaugurated the function. College Union Chairman Mr Sajeesh presided over the function. Union General Secretary Miss Amitha delivered the welcome speach.Staff Advisor Dr. A S Sunilkumar,Staff Secretary Smt. Smitha R, Union Vice-Chairperson Miss Majitha and UUC Mr.Yadhu gave felicitations. The talks focused on the origin of Kerala,its rich heritage and the responsibilities of each one of us to uphold and uplift it.The program was followed by variety entertainments and an exhibition depicting the heritage of kerala.The exhibition was opened to the neighbouring school students also."Malayala manka"competition was held for students. The competition had three phases ,self introduction,speaking on the topic"Keralam Ennale Ennu Nale" and identifying locally available herbs.Revathi vijan from malayalam option was selected as the "Malayali Manka". Aparna P R(MEd) and Kavitha. C(1st MEd)won the second and third places respectively.
