Energy club Inauguration & National webinar 2020
Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal of the college, inaugurated the Energy club for the current academic year on 14th December 2020.
Energy conservation day was observed on the same day with a webinar on " Energy conservation and climate change ".
Mr.K.Premkumar, Energy auditor & chartered engineer, KSEB, led the class.
Dr.seema Menon K.P, energy club teacher cordinator presided over the session. Radhika T R, student cordinator of the club welcomed the gathering.
Dr.Sethu S Nath, staff advisor, felicitated the event.Ms.Lekshmi.V Assistant Professor & energy club executive committee member rendered the vote of thanks.
There were more than 300 participants in the webinar with 200 students of the college & 100 national & international delegates who watched the session through you tube live.
This week will be observed as Energy conservation week with various competitions and programs to develop awareness on energy conservation among students.

Rhythm- Introducing the musical instruments of Kerala and Himachal Pradesh
The third program conducted by the EBSB club of NSS Training
College Ottapalam is a presentation about the musical instruments of Himachal Pradesh
and Kerala. The presentation was named 'Rhythm'. It 'showcases the musical
journey of both Kerala and Himachal Pradesh. The presentation starts with the
introduction of the musical heritage and culture of both the states. Different instruments like, Chenda, Thimila, Udukk etc from Kerala
and instruments like Dol, Kumru from Himachal Pradesh are introduced. The highlight of the
programme was the Udukku demonstration by Sri. Sasi Kumar T., Clerk (Higher Grade
) of our college. The video gives a detailed presentation about the instrument
Udukk from Kerala. The speciality of Udukk, how is it made, it's origin all the related aspects are discussed in the video. The presentation gives a new light towards the
different instruments of the Kerala and Himachal Pradesh. The musical culture
is so important for the people of India, so it is a necessity to understand
about the different musical heritage of the different states.

The Festivals of Light- On the Occasion of Deepaavali
The EBSB club of the NSS Training College Ottapalam prepared a video presentation on 'The festivals of light. As part of the programs conducted for the November, a presentation including different festivals in India were the 'diyas' (mud lamps) are lighted are introduced. The presentation included Diwali, which was on November 14th which is celebrated all over India and also the 'Karthika Vilak' celebrated on November 29th by the people in Kerala, Tamilnadu and associated regions. The presentation included the history, myth and the speciality of these festivals. The presentation was very informative and it also helped to realize the similarity in the festivals celebrated in different part of our country. The festivals are always a celebration for Indian people. Since the pandemic situations are not allowing us to do what we usually do. We are trying to enjoy and embrace the best from the current situation. This video of sharing the culture is actually a good example for this.
Versification Competition on the topic 'If you get a chance to go back to your childhood' in connection with Children' day, November 14.
The EBSB club of NSS
College, Ottapalam conducted an inter collegiate poem writing completion as the
first program for the month of November. The completion was linked with the
Children' day, November 14. This was for all the college students in Kerala and
in Himachal Pradesh. The theme of the poem that should be written was 'If you
get a chance to go back to your childhood'. The entries were accepted in three
languages- Malayalam, Hindi and English. The participants were asked to submit
their entries on or before 13th November. The participants were asked to fill a
Google form and attach their work to the form. Twenty two entries were received
and the winners were announced accordingly. The winners and the participants
were given certificates. The program was a huge success.

മലയാള ഭാഷാ വാരാചരണം -അഞ്ചാം ദിവസം
കേരളപ്പിറവി ദിനത്തോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചു ഒറ്റപ്പാലം എൻ എസ് എസ് ട്രെയിനിംഗ് കോളേജിലെ പ്രകൃതി ശാസ്ത്ര വിഭാഗം വരാഘോഷ പരിപാടിയായ കലാകേദാരം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. 6/11/2020 വെള്ളി രാവിലെ 10 മണി മുതൽ 11 വരെ ഗൂഗിൾ മീറ്റിലായിരുന്നു പരിപാടി. വിനീഷ ഈശ്വരപ്രാർഥന പാടി കൊണ്ടാണ് പരിപാടി ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പരിപാടിക്ക് സ്വാഗതം പറഞ്ഞത് വർഷയായിരുന്നു. സ്വാഗതത്തിന് ശേഷം സ്നേഹ, ആതിര. ആർ ചേർന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽ വീഡിയോ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. അതിന് ശേഷം ആതിര. പി സ്വന്തമായി എഴുതി ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയ 'ഭയം' എന്ന കവിത ആലപിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് വിസ്മയ. സി മോഹിനിയാട്ടവും, ആതിര ആർ നാടൻപാട്ടും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. നാടൻ കലകൾ ഒരു പൈതൃകം എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി ഷബ്നവും വിസ്മയ .സി യും ചേർന്ന് ഒരു വീഡിയോ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രകൃതി നശീകരണത്തെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പാട്ട് പിന്നെയും എന്ന കവിത ആര്യ പിജെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു തുടർന്ന് അമൃത നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു 11 മണിയോടെ പരിപാടി അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു.

മലയാള ഭാഷാ വാരാചരണം -ഏഴാം ദിവസം
കേരളത്തിൻറെ ജന്മവാർഷിക ആഘോഷത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നവംബർ രണ്ടുമുതൽ ഒറ്റപ്പാലം എൻഎസ്എസ് ട്രെയിനിങ് കോളേജിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മലയാള വാരാചരണം എന്ന പരിപാടിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഇന്ന്
10 /11 /2020 ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച സാമൂഹ്യ ശാസ്ത്ര വിഭാഗമാണ് പരിപാടികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
ചില സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറുകൾ മൂലം പത്തുമണിക്ക് തുടങ്ങേണ്ട പരിപാടി കുറച്ചു വൈകിയാണ് ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
*മധുരം മലയാളം* എന്ന നാമധേയമാണ് പരിപാടിക്ക് ഞങ്ങൾ നൽകിയത് .
ഈശ്വര പ്രാർഥനയോടെയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ കാര്യ പരിപാടികൾ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. അഞ്ജു പി.ജി യാണ് ഈശ്വരപ്രാർഥന ചൊല്ലിയത്.
പരിപാടിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷസ്ഥാനം വഹിച്ചത് മഞ്ജുഷ.കെ ആണ്.വളരെ ഭംഗിയുള്ള വാക്കുകൾ തന്നെയാണ് മഞ്ജുഷ ഉപയോഗിച്ചത്. അതോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ എല്ലാ അധ്യാപക-അനധ്യാപക വിദ്യാർത്ഥി വിദ്യാർഥിനി സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയും ഈ പരിപാടിയിലേക്ക് സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുക എന്ന കർത്തവ്യം നിർവഹിച്ചത് പ്രസീനയാണ്. അതിമനോഹരമായ വാചകങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പ്രസീന സ്വാഗതം പറഞ്ഞത്. പരിപാടികൾക്ക് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധ്യാപകനായ ശങ്കരൻ മാഷ് ആശംസകളർപ്പിച്ചു.
കേരളപ്പിറവിയുടെ *കഥ* യോടു കൂടിയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ കാര്യപരിപാടികൾ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. കേരളത്തെ കുറിച്ച് വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യമർഹിക്കുന്ന കഥ നീതു.എ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
മഞ്ജുഷ.കെ,ശ്രുതി .ആർ പ്രസീന . എൻ, അനുശ്രീ ജി രൂപിക പി എന്നിവർ ചേർന്ന് മനോഹരമായ ഒരു നൃത്താവിഷ്കാരം കാഴ്ച വെച്ചു.
അഞ്ജു കേരളത്തെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരു ഗാനാലാപനം നടത്തി.
*മാറുന്ന ശേലുകൾ* എന്ന വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി പഴയ കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ നാം ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ഇന്ന് നമ്മൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി കേരളത്തിലെ വസ്ത്ര സംസ്കാരത്തിൻറെ ചരിത്രത്തെ ഓർമപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് _ഡോക്യുമെൻററി_ നടത്തിയത്.

ഇതിലൂടെ അവതരണം നടത്തിയത്..
പല രീതിയിൽ ഉള്ള വസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും വസ്ത്ര രീതിയിൽ വന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും ചെറിയ രീതിയിൽ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ സാധിച്ചു.
അതിഗംഭീരമായ ഒരു *പ്രസംഗം* വിവേക് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. കേരളത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ബിന്ദു *ഗാനം* ആലപിച്ചു.
തുടർന്ന് *പഴമയുടെ പതിരുകൾ* തേടി
എന്ന നാമധേയത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ചെറിയ ഒരു _പുരാവസ്തു പ്രദർശനം_ നടത്തി. ഇതിലൂടെ പഴയ കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന പല ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഓർമ്മകളിൽ നിന്നും പൊടിതട്ടിയെടുക്കാൻ ഏവർക്കും സാധിച്ചുവെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.. അനുശ്രീ, രൂപിക,അഞ്ജു ,ലിറ്റി പ്രസീന എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് ഈ പ്രദർശനം ഒരുക്കിയത്.
*കേരളം -ഒരു അവലോകനം* എന്നതിനെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി
കേരളത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അതിമനോഹരമായ ഒരു അവലോകനം പ്രസീത കാഴ്ചവെച്ചു..

മലയാള ഭാഷാ വാരാചരണം ആറാം ദിവസം
ഒറ്റപ്പാലം എൻ.എസ്.എസ്. ട്രെയിനിംഗ് കോളേജിലെ ഭാഷാവേദിയുടെയും കോളേജ് യൂണിയൻ്റെയും ഫിസിക്കൽ സയൻസ് വിഭാഗത്തിൻ്റെയും സംയുക്ത ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ മലയാളഭാഷാവാരാചരണത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് 'നവകൈരളി' എന്ന പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. 2020 നവംബർ 9, തിങ്കൾ, രാവിലെ 10 മണിയ്ക്ക് ഗൂഗിൾ മീറ്റ് വഴിയാണ് പരിപാടി നടത്തിയത്. കോവിഡ് അനന്തര വെല്ലുവിളികളെ നേരിട്ട് നാം നിർമ്മിക്കേണ്ട നവകൈരളിയെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയായിരുന്നു പരിപാടി. പ്രാർത്ഥനയോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ ശിൽപ സ്വാഗതപ്രസംഗം നടത്തി. സുമിഷയാണ് പ്രാർത്ഥന ചൊല്ലിയത്. പിന്നീട്, ഫിസിക്കൽ സയൻസ് വിഭാഗത്തിലെ അദ്ധ്യാപകവിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ആതിര അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ആമുഖ ഗാനത്തോടെ കലാപരിപാടികൾക്ക് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചു. കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക പൈതൃകത്തിൻ്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗമായ ആദിവാസി ജനവിഭാഗത്തിൻ്റെ സവിശേഷതകൾ വീഡിയോ പ്രദർശനത്തിലൂടെ അബീനയും സുകന്യയും ഭംഗിയായി വിവരിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന്, ലിസ്ന രാമായണപാരായണം നടത്തി .വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളെ ഏറെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ സവിശേഷമായ വള്ളംകളിയെ കുറിച്ച് ആര്യ സംസാരിച്ചു. വള്ളംകളിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ച വീഡിയോ പ്രദർശനവും നടത്തി. ആകർഷ, രേഷ്മ, സുമിഷ എന്നിവർ 'അമ്മ മലയാളം' എന്ന പേരിൽ മനോഹരമായ സെമി ക്ലാസിക്കൽ നൃത്തം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഭൂപ്രദേശസൂചിക പദവി ലഭിച്ചതിലൂടെ ലോക ശ്രദ്ധ നേടാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞ കേരളത്തിലെ ഉത്പന്നങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ആതിര വീഡിയോ പ്രദർശനത്തിലൂടെ വിവരിച്ചു. അതിന് ശേഷം, മലയാളത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രിയകവി ശ്രീ.ഒ.എൻ.വി.കുറുപ്പിൻ്റെ 'മലയാളം' എന്ന കവിത സുജാത അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. തൃശ്ശൂർ, കോട്ടയം, കോഴിക്കോട്, വള്ളുവനാട് എന്നീ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ ഭാഷാവൈവിധ്യങ്ങൾ ഒരു ഫോൺ കോൾ സംഭാഷണ രീതിയിലൂടെ അഞ്ജലി, സാന്ദ്ര, അഖില, രേഷ്മ എന്നിവർ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. മലയാള ഭാഷാശൈലികളുടെ തനിമയും തന്മയത്വവും വിളിച്ചോതിയ പ്രകടനമായിരുന്നു അത്. റാംസർ ഉടമ്പടിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ തണ്ണീർത്തട പ്രദേശങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് മഞ്ജുഷ വീഡിയോ പ്രദർശനം നടത്തി. മലയാള നാടിൻ്റെ ദൃശ്യഭംഗിയും മലയാളിയുടെ ഒത്തൊരുമയും കോർത്തിണക്കികൊണ്ട് സാന്ദ്ര പാടിയ 'എൻ്റെ കേരളം' എന്ന കവിത പരിപാടിയ്ക്ക് പൂർണ്ണത നൽകി. കലാപരിപാടികൾക്ക് ശേഷം അബീന നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു. നവനീത് കൃഷ്ണൻ്റെ സാങ്കേതിക സഹായം പരിപാടിയെ മികവുറ്റതാക്കി. വിസ്മയയായിരുന്നു പരിപാടിയുടെ അവതാരക. കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ ദൃശ്യഭംഗിയും ഭാഷാവൈവിധ്യങ്ങളും സാംസ്കാരികപൈതൃകവും വളരെ ഹൃദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാനും നവകൈരളി നിർമ്മിക്കേണ്ടത്തിൻ്റെ ആവശ്യകത മറ്റുള്ളവരിലേയ്ക്ക് എത്തിക്കാനും ഈ പരിപാടി സഹായകമായി.

മലയാള ഭാഷാ വചരണം രണ്ടാം ദിവസം
കേരളത്തിന്റെ ജന്മവാർഷികാഘോഷത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നവംബർ 2 മുതൽ ഒറ്റപ്പാലം എൻഎസ്എസ് ട്രെയിനിംഗ് കോളേജ് മലയാള വാരാചരണം നടത്തി വരികയാണ്. അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി, ഇന്ന് നവംബർ 3 ന് ആംഗലേയ വിഭാഗവും ഭാഷവേദിയും കോളേജ് യൂണിയനും സംയുക്തമായി "ഞാനൊരു മലയാളി" എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു പരിപാടി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. രാവിലെ 10 ന് പ്രാർഥനയോടെ പരിപാടി ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് അസോസിയേഷൻ സെക്രട്ടറി ആൽബി ജോസഫ് സ്വാഗത പ്രസംഗം നടത്തി. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഓപ്ഷണൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ വ്യത്യസ്ത പരിപാടികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. കേരള സാംസ്കാരിക കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളായ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി, കലാമണ്ഡലം തുടങ്ങിയവയെക്കുറിച്ച് സവിത എംവി പ്രസംഗിച്ചു. മനോഹരവും വർണോജ്ജ്വലവുമായ നൃത്ത പ്രകടനം സുജിത കെഎം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. 'പൂരോത്സവം' എന്ന തലക്കെട്ടോടെ അർച്ചന എൻ പി വിവിധ പൂരങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ വിവരണം തയ്യാറാക്കി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. 'രുചിയം കഥയും' എന്ന മറ്റൊരു നൂതന പ്രോഗ്രാം ബീന കെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. 'ഇഞ്ചിതൈരു' എന്ന സ്വാഭാവിക വിഭവത്തിന്റെ പിന്നിലെ കഥയും അതിന്റെ സ്വീകാര്യതയും വിശദീകരിച്ചു നൽകി. ദേവിക കെ, ഗായത്രി കെ.എം, മൃദുല കെ.പി എന്നിവർ കേരളത്തെയും മലയാളത്തെയും കുറിച്ച് ആസ്വാദ്യകരമായ ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആലപിച്ചു. അത് പ്രോഗ്രാമിന് ഒരു സിംഫണി നൽകി. ആംഗലേയ വിഭാഗം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ 'ഞാനൊരു മലയാളി' എന്ന ശീർഷകം അന്വർത്ഥമാക്കും വിധം ക്രിയാത്മകമായ ഒരു അവതരണവും നൽകി. കേരളത്തെ കുറിച്ചും മലയാള ഭാഷയുടെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെ പറ്റിയും ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി ഓർമിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് അധ്യാപകരോടും അനധ്യാപകരോടും വിദ്യാർത്ഥി സുഹൃത്തുക്കളോടും രേവന്ത് മുരളിനാഥ് നന്ദി പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും അധ്യാപകരും പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. 11 മണിയോടെ പരിപാടികൾ അവസാനിച്ചു.
