Collected money for cancer patients
In collaboration with Krishi Kerala, Ottapalam,the Haritha Nature Club & Extension Club of NSS Training Ottapalam collected an amount of Rs/1180 through the distribution of seeds to teachers and student teachers of the college and handed over it to Regional Cancer Center,Thiruvananthapuram by Principal,Dr AmpiliAravind .

Orientarion Session for Internship
An orientation session related to the internship program for the third semester B.Ed students was organized in the college auditorium.Principal Dr.Ampili Aravind presided over the function.Coordinators of the Internship program of the college Dr.Sheeba Krishnan and Dr.Mridula.K and Coordinator of IQAC Dr.Sajan K.S, felicitated.
Criticism classes
Critisism classes were conducted for second year BEd English Optional students on 10/7/2019,11/72019.The teacher trainiees were able to experience a first hand classroom ambiance with support of leaners of class 8th and 9th from NSSKTHSS Ottapalam.

Workshop on critical understanding of ICT
One day workshop on critical understanding of ICT was conducted on 15/07/2019 ,monday for third semester B.Ed. students as part of their enhancing professional competency in the curriculum. Dr Sethu S Nath, coordinator of the workshop welcomed all the delegates and participants to the workshop. Dr Ampili Aravind, principal NSS Training College Ottapalam inaugurated the workshop by releasing the social media platforms of the college. Dr Devika.R , the staff secretary felicitated the program. Dr K.S Sajan, assistant professor of the college was the resource person of the workshop. Various technological platforms for e- content development , digital lesson planning, web page creation,PowerPoint presentation and Excel applications were demonstrated and practiced during the workshop. The workshop provided opportunity for the participants to acquaint with different social media platforms, websites and online portals that can be used for educational purposes.The active participation and diligent effort from the part of students led to the accomplishment of favourable outcome of the workshop.
Our students qualified net in education
Our students Ranjini of old M Ed batch and Soumya of current senior M Ed batch qualified NET in education. Soumya reported that she was an active participants of online NET and JRF coaching of NSS Training College Ottapalam. That platform only help her to pass the N ET examination

CRITICISM CLASSES
The student teachers of Department of Mathematics Education have taken the dual role in crticism lessons.This practical course is intended to get experience of preparing lesson plans for classroom teaching and opportunity for a macro lesson in practice. The prospective Mathematics successfully completed this activity on 10th,11th July 2019.

National Seminar Proceedings Release
The seminar proceedings with ISBN number, of the ICSSR- MHRD ( IMPRESS scheme ) sponsored national seminar on " Academic accomodation of Children With Special Needs", May 28-29, 2019 was released today by Dr. Lakshmi. K. Nair, Former Principal, NSS Training College, ottapalam. Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal of the college presided over the session. Dr. Devika. R, staff secretary welcomed the gathering. Dr. Seema Menon K. P, seminar co ordinator and managing editor, gave a brief description on the milestones in the pathway of the seminar & proceedings publication.
Magazine Release 2019

On 8/7/2019, our college conducted a twin program in which magazine release for the academic year 2018-'19 was done by our former principal Dr. LakshmI k Nair. The magazine was named 'Ormapeithu' in which wonderful creations of the students were represented. Dr. Chitra L was the staff editor and Ms. Nivya U C worked as the student editor for the magazine.

Dr. Chitra L, Assisrant Professor of the college was given a warm sent off function on the same venue. The entire program was presided by the Principal of our college Dr.Ampili Aravind. Dr. Devika R, Staff Secretary, delivered the welcome speech. The inauguration of the program and magazine release was done by Dr Lakshmi K Nair, the former Principal of our college. The staff and students of the college conveyed felicitation to Dr.Chitra L who was transferred to Nss Training College , Pandalam. Dr. Sethu S Nath. Staff advisor delivered vote of thanks.

PTA executive committee meeting was held on 1st July 2019 ,12:00 p.m. in the Principals chamber. College principal Dr. Ampili Aravind welcomed the new PTA members.PTA secretary Dr. Suresh Kumar.K introduced the new PTA representatives of teachers to the parents.Shri v muraleedharan, Shri Jyoti Thekkinkattil, Joseph Thoduvial, Smt.sinthu PN and Suresh VK attended the PTA executive meeting.parents ensured full cooporation for the smooth functioning of college academic activities. V muraleedharan was elected as the new PTA vice president.

P. T. A. General body meeting
A P. T. A. general body meeting was conducted today in the College auditorium
PTA general body meeting was held on first July 2019 in the college auditorium.The B.Ed and MEd classes were also started on the same day. Approximately 80 parents participated in the general body meeting. College principal Dr. Ampili Aravind presided the meeting.PTA secretary Dr. Suresh Kumar K presented the 2019-20 budget and discussions where held on various issues. The principal, PTA secretary and the teachers clarified the doubts raised by the parents. All teachers participated in the PTA general body meeting.
