REPORT ON
5 DAYS CERTIFICATION COURSE ON GAMIFICATION AS A PEDAGOGICAL TOOL
The program was organised by IQAC of NSS Training College, Ottapalam in collaboration with DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, University of Calicut in online platforms (Google meet and Youtube).
For candidate registration Google form link was shared prior to the program.
DAY 1- 22/6/2021 (3.30pm -5.30pm)
During the inaugural session on 22nd June 2021 3.30pm, a welcome speech was delivered by Dr. K.S. Sajan, Assistant Professor and IQAC coordinator of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. Presidential address was conveyed by respected principal Dr. Ampili Aravind of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. K. P. Meera, Professor and Head of Department, Department of Education, University of Calicut. Organising Committee members include Dr Sethu S Nath, Dr Sheeba Krishnan, Smt. Lekshmi V and Sri. Akhil K Sreedhar, Assistant Professors from NSS Training College, Ottapalam. Session on Gamified Learning and Teaching was handled by resource person Smt. Asha S Kutty, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Mar Dionysius College, Pazhanji. Sessions were very informative and assignment 1 to prepare a troll based on classroom learning activity was also given for the candidates. The program concluded at 5.30pm with vote of thanks by Ms. Lekshmi V, Assistant Professor and IT club member of NSS Training College, Ottapalam.
DAY 2- 23/6/2021 (3.30pm -5.30pm)
Session on Gamified Learning and Teaching was handled by resource person Smt. Asha S Kutty, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Mar Dionysius College, Pazhanji. The assignment for day 2 was to prepare an action plan to gamify a concept in the classroom. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Sri. Akhil K Sreedhar, Assistant Professor, NSS Training College, Ottapalam.
DAY 3- 24/6/2021 (3.30pm -5.30pm)
During day 3, a session on Gamified Learning/Teaching was handled by resource person Smt. Asha S Kutty, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Mar Dionysius College, Pazhanji. A feedback form and test consisting of multiple choice questions was given to candidates towards the end of the session. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Sethu S Nath, Assistant Professor, NSS Training College, Ottapalam.
DAY 4- 25/6/2021 (3.30pm -5.30pm)
Session on Gamification Tools was handled by Dr. Thiyagu Suriya, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Central University of Kasargod. Lot of online Gamification tools such as GIMKIT, BLOOKET, EDUCANDY were introduced to the candidates and assignment to create a Gamification account was also given. The program concluded at 5.30pm with vote of thanks by Sri Ahkil K Sreedhar, Assistant Professor, NSS Training College, Ottapalam.
DAY 5- 26/6/2021 (3.30pm -5.30pm)
The session on the last day of the workshop was handled by Dr. K.S. Sajan, Assistant Professor and IQAC coordinator of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. Very detailed and interesting explanation of creating a Gamification app was given by the resource person. Lot of examples and methods to create a Gamification app were done during the session itself. Challenging assignment to create a Gamification app was also given. The feedback session filled with heartfelt thanks from the participants for the organisers and resource persons, The session concluded with an online test for certification of candidates and valedictory function. The official vote of thanks were presented by Dr Setrhu S Nath Asst Professor NSS training College Ottapalam

“Rejuvenation
of research ethics and publications” our five-day webinar series commenced on
June 14th of 2021. It was organized by NSS Training college Ottapalam
in collaboration with IQAC. Webinar started at 3pm by pleading the blessings from
Almighty, followed by Dr. K S Sajan, IQAC Co Ordinator of NSS Training college
Ottapalam gave the welcome address. Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal of our
college inaugurated the session by her warm inaugural address. Dr.
Sankaranarayanan Paleeri was the resource person with the topic philosophy
and publication ethics. It was an informative session by discussing the
meaning of philosophy, moral philosophy its branches followed by publication bias,
ethics and misconducts. There were doubt clearing session. Program finished by
4.45pm with vote of thanks.

June 14th of 2021. It was organized by NSS Training college
Ottapalam in collaboration with IQAC. Today was the second day of webinar series.
Webinar started at 3pm by pleading the blessings from Almighty, followed by the
welcome address. Dr.Anilkumar K M was
the resource person with the topic data basis and research matrixes. It
was an informative session by discussing citation database,three major
databases, journal database and impact factor and so on. There were
demonstration session and the resource person cleared all doubts.. Program
finished by 4.45pm with vote of thanks.

S B was the resource person with the topic open access publications and
initiatives. It was an informative session by discussing importance of
finding research gap, open access publishing, introduced some directories like
open doar and some open accesses like zenodo, doaj and so on. He guided
researchers towards the publishing process and how a researcher could overcome
barriers come across in the research process . There were doubt clearing
session and the resource person cleared all doubts.. Program finished by 4.45pm
with vote of thanks.

Wold Creativity and Innovation day Celebration
As part of Wold Creativity and Innovation day IT Club of NSS TRAINING COLLEGE Ottapalam and IQAC together conducted a campaign to Collect creative and innovative methods of Online teaching from BEd and M Ed Stdents, Teachers , Teacher Educators and Other Students.
