The M.Ed Association and IT Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, jointly organized a data analysis workshop for M.Ed students on 07/10/2024. The workshop began with a welcome address by Surabhi C.P., a second-year M.Ed student. The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Smitha R., Principal in-charge, NSSTC, Ottapalam. In her inaugural address, Dr. Smitha highlighted the significance of data analysis in today's world and encouraged participants to make full use of the opportunity provided by the workshop.
Dr. K.S. Sajan, Assistant Professor, NSSTC, Ottapalam, served as the resource person for the workshop, which was structured into two sessions. The forenoon session focused on Qualitative Data Analysis, while the afternoon session was dedicated to Quantitative Data Analysis. Dr. Sajan introduced participants to the fundamentals, including data collection, data entry, and coding. The workshop also covered essential aspects of data analysis, such as data cleaning, visualization, and statistical analysis. Additionally, he introduced several software tools useful for data analysis.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Amal George, a second-year M.Ed student. The event offered valuable insights into data analysis techniques and proved to be a beneficial learning experience for all participants.
