ELT Webinar Series -Day 4 Gamify Your Language in New Normal Teaching
The fourth day talk of the webinar series "Exploring ELT: From presumption to Pragmatics" was conducted on 22nd October, 2020. The resource person Mr. Rauf P. Ummer elaborated the topic 'Gamify Your Language in New Normal Teaching' through a lively interactive session. 12 student teachers of English optional attended the program. The program was streamed live through Facebook and college You Tube Channel Vaighari.

Devaayanam-A Tribute to Late poet Sri. Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri
A tribute to late Poet Sri. Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri was organized by Bhasavedi and College Union at 2.00PM on 20 th October,2020 over Google Meet. 80 student teachers participated in the meet. Bhasavedi Student Convener, Mrs. Lamna T.Kuttan, welcomed the participants to the Meet.
College union Chairman Navaneeth Krishnan chaired the session. Dr. Anil Kumar K.P. Principal, Devaki Amma Memorial Training College, Chelembra delivered the keynote address and paid homage to the departed soul. A video presentation showcasing the life of the poet was presented by students of Natural Science optional. The students paid tribute to the great writer reciting his poems.
Staff Advisor Dr Sethu S. Nath expressed her reverence to the late poet and quoted instances from his life which showcased his concern for fellow beings. Dr Mridula K. Coordinator of Bhasavedi, painted a portrait of the Sri Akkitham as a tribute the writer. Bhasavedi, Joint Convener, Mrs.Savitha M V proposed the vote of thanks.

National Webinar on Human Rights Protection Laws
One day National webinar on Human Rights Protection Laws was conducted by Human Rights Forum of NSS Training College Ottapalam on 07th October 2020 in collaboration with IQAC of the college. Rights to Information Federation State President and Famous Environmental Activist Adv. D B Binu presented the theme on Human Rights Protection Laws. The webinar was presided by the college principal Dr. Ampili Aravind and welcome speech was delivered by the coordinator of Human Rights Forum, Dr Suresh Kumar K. Adv.DB Binu presented the real state of human rights issues and focused on RTI Act and current issues. The lecture was very effective, informative and interesting. After the class, there was interaction with the students by the chief guest and paper presentation by the participants.
The falicitation were made by Dr. KS Sajan, IQAC Coordinator, Dr Minikumari.D, Staff secretary, Dr. Sethu S Nath, Staff Advisor and Smt. Lekshmi.V, Human Rights Forum Member. The Vote of Thanks by Ms. Alby Mathew , Student coordinator of Human rights Forum.

Webinar Series -Day2 Understanding Language : A Multidimensional Perusal of Language and Identity.
The English Language Association in collaboration with IQAC and Alumni of the NSS Training college is conducting a webinar series on Exploring ELT: from presumption to Pragmatic.
October 8th was the second day of the webinar series. The program started at 9:15am. There were more than 15 participants in the Google meet and the program was also was streaming live in Facebook and Youtube. Ms. Anjali Krishna C. SDE at ASAP Kerala was the Resource Person for the day and her topic was Understanding Language : A Multidimensional Perusal of Language and Identity. The identity crisis face by our students while learning a new language, English was presented in the session. The necessary steps the should be taken by the teachers and also the ways in which one can make the students understand the language better was also given. There were an active question and answer session after the topic discussion. The program ended at 11 am.

Krishnakumar, Associate profosser, SNM Training college, Moothakunnam. In connection with this program Dr. Krishnakumar released " A memorable value of experience of Teachers day" special Digital magazine created by IT club. Principal Dr. Ampili Aravind, IQAC & IT Club Cordinator Dr.KS Sajan, Staff secretary Dr. Minikumari, Dr. Sethu. S. Nath, IT club secretary Vinisha delivered welcome , wishes and thanks for this Program. All Staff members, MEd, BEd students also gave their support for this inspired & interested session. Around 50 members attended the program.
