Cancer awareness program

Red ribbon club of NSS Training college organized a cancer awareness class on 30.11.2016. Program was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Lakshmi.K Nair. Ms. Praveena Prabhakaran and Ms.Dhara, Project Co- ordinators, Ottapal welfare trust led the classes. Different types of cancers, its symptoms, causes and remedies were discussed in the class.Queries of the students were also answered. Dr.Seema Me non K.P, Asst.Professor and co ordinator of Red ribbon club presided over the session. Student representives, Ms.Revathy Vijayan welcomed the gathering and Ms. Sandhya N.S rendered the vote of thanks

A workshop on Yoga

Yoga workshop conducted in the college as a part of M.Ed curriculum. All  students participated  .
They have to prepare a yoga report and also  have to submit CD's of their own class.

Dr. Ampili Aravind ,Asociate Professor of our college took classes as resource person in the 5 days research methodology workshop conducted at IASE Thrissur for teacher educators and M.Ed students, 

Dr K S Sajan faculty of education participated in a two days residential workshop conducted by SCERT on 26th and 27th of November 2016 for the Research on Analysis of Revised textbooks and Teacher text implemented in State Schools of Kerala

Tribute to Dr. Balamuralikrishna

A programme was organized under the auspicious of college union and music club of our college to express condolence in the demise of the music maestro Dr.Balamuralikrishna. Our principal Dr. Lakshmi K Nair inaugurated the function by paying homage to  the late genius. College Union chairman Sri. T. K. Sajeesh presided over the function. Music club coordinator Dr. K.S. Sajan delivered the welcome address. Dr. Binuraj and Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri expressed condolences. As a tribute to the late legend there was a solo performance, 'bhashpanjalinatanam' by Deepthi.P.S of M.Ed third semester. Hima of junior M.Ed batch sang a song which was eternized by Dr. Balamuralikrishna. The vote of thanks was done by Aparna of M.Ed first semester

One day seminar on Zenith of  Research: A global perspective with special emphasis on research to repetition, artificialities of contemporary educational research was organized by the M.Ed department of our college. The programme was inaugurated by the key resource person Dr. Amruth G Kumar, associate professor of Central University Kerala. Principal in charge Dr. Ampili Aravind presided over the function. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anil Kumar K.P and staff secretary Smt.Smitha R felicitated the function.

Our former student Smt Manju P K first  Rank holder of Calicut university for M Ed examination was congratulated by the chief guest. Vote of thanks was done by M.Ed association Secretary Sri. Anil K.R. 

The inaugural session was followed by an interactive class by the key resource person Dr. Amruth G Kumar about educational research. Students and teacher esucators from various institutions from Kerala and Tamilnadu were participated in it. 

The afternoon session was for paper presentation and comptitiin. Paper presentation Competition was exclusively for M.Ed students. Students from various institutions presented paper about the seminar theme. The competition was very tight and Deepthi P.S NSS Training College Ottapalam secured the first position. Femi and Jithina of Farook Training College, Kozhikode secured second and third place respectively.

IQAC-One Day Workshop on Digital pedagogy

A workshop on 'digital pedagogy' was conducted under the aegis of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The workshop was for Malayalam teachers in training colleges under the University of Calicut. It was inaugurated by the principal Dr. Lakshmi K Nair. Dr. K.P. Anil Kumar delivered the welcome address. Smt. Smitha R, staff secretary, felicitated the function. The workshop was guided by Dr. K.S. Sajan, Dr. K.P.Anil Kumar, Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri and Sri. Mohemmed Sher

Focus film club program

As part of the promotion of the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala which is to be conducted on December 9-16, the film academy of Kerala organized a mobile film fair for exhibiting films throughout Kerala. As part of this the popular Italian film 'Bicycle Thieves' by the famous director Victorious De Siva was screened in our college. Prior to this Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, the coordinator of focus film club of our college, gave brief introduction to the film. The movie portrays the post world war condition of Italy in general and the hardships of the protagonist to get a job. The film screening was a nice experience.
