The IT Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, successfully organized a series of Multimedia Student Presentations and Lecture Capturing on 11th August 2024. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. K. S. Sajan, IT Club Coordinator. The program was officially inaugurated by Dr. Smitha R, Principal (in charge). Dr. Anu S. graced the occasion with her facilitation.



The event featured three seminar presentations delivered by students, showcasing their knowledge and technical skills. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Priyanka M. P., the student representative.

In connection with the Anti-Ragging Week from August 8th to August 12th, 2024, the Anti-Ragging Cell of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, conducted various competitions on the theme of "Anti-Ragging". The events included Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Essay Writing competitions.

- _Aishwarya T_ presented a paper at the prestigious ICAPSM 2024 International Conference in Physical Science.
- _Krishna A V_ won 1st place in the Essay Writing Competition organized by Auroville Foundation in the field of M.Ed.
- _Gayathri A_ was honored for her exceptional achievements in the field of Sports and Games, showcasing her talent and dedication to physical excellence.

Teachers' Day Celebration

 Today on September 5th, nationally revered as Teachers’ Day, Bhashavedi, in collaboration with the  Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, orchestrated a commemorative event to honour all the teachers. The ceremony commenced at 1:30 PM in the College General Hall, beginning with a solemn invocation followed by Acharyanusmaranam.

Dr. Mridula K., (Coordinator, Bhashavedi) delivered a warm welcome address. Subsequently, Prof.(Dr.) Smitha R., the Principal-in-Charge, delivered an inspiring inaugural speech. She eloquently expounded on the multifaceted role of educators, enriching her discourse with personal anecdotes. The event reached its pinnacle with the release of manuscript magazine, Dakshina, by Prof.(Dr.) Smitha R. Further the event was followed by heartfelt felicitation addresses by Prof.(Dr.) Suresh Kumar K. (PTA Secretary), Dr. Lekshmi V. (Staff Secretary), Dr. Sheebha Krishnan (Staff Advisor),) Dr Shankaranarayan Paleeri (IQAC Coordinator), Sri. Suresh Kumar( Head Accountant) and Ms. Neeraja (Student representative), underscored the profound impact of teachers on their lives and the academic community at large. The formal function concluded with the vote of thanks given by Ms.Akshaya, (Student Coordinator, Bhashavedi).

The informal session showcased presentations and performances led by various academic departments. The Mathematics department initiated the session with an enlightening discourse on “Empowering Educators for a Sustainable Future,” setting a thought-provoking tone for the event. Building on this momentum, the Malayalam department offered a compelling presentation entitled “Adyapakarum, Ezhuthukaarum” (Teachers and Writers), exploring the intricate relationship between Education and literature.

In a captivating display of creativity, M Ed.  department staged a tableau vivant, artfully depicting “Adyapanathinte Naalvazhikal”. The session culminated in a heartfelt tribute titled “Gurupranamam,” a harmonious group performance by the English department dedicated to the teaching fraternity with gratitude and respect.

Complementing these presentations, the Social Science department contributed by crafting bespoke Teachers’ Day badges, while the Physical Science department curated the commemorative magazine “Dhakshina’’. These tangible mementos served to crystallize the day’s sentiments and honor the educators’ invaluable contributions. The whole session concluded with the lighting of diya, organized by the Natural Science department. The teacher educators, non-teaching staff, and student teachers lit the lamps while, the mantra “Tamasoma Jyotigamaya”, was reiterated at the backdrop significing the transition of the self from ignorance to absolute knowledge.

Orientation on centralised valuation camp for examiners

Report on the Orientation Program for Centralized Valuation Camp for B.Ed 4th Semester Theory Examination

Conducted by: Dr. K.S. Sajan, Chairman of Centralized Valuation Camp

Objective: To orient examiners on the various aspects of centralized revaluation camp and define their roles and responsibilities.

Summary:

Dr. K.S. Sajan, Chairman of Centralized Valuation Camp, conducted an orientation program for examiners of the B.Ed 4th semester theory examination. During the session, the roles and responsibilities of examiners and the Chief Examiner were clearly defined.

Camp director, Dr. Smitha R, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of centralized valuation in the evaluation process.

- Objectives and scope of centralized valuation camp
- Roles and responsibilities of examiners
- Valuation process and evaluation criteria
- Importance of confidentiality and security in the valuation process
