English Language Association - 'Zulekha-2016' Inaugurated today

The inauguration of  English language association Zuleikha-2016 was held at college auditorium. The formal inaugural ceremony started at 10am with a prayer.   Mrs Rekha Raveendran, the secretary of the Language Association delivered the welcome address.  Principal Dr. Lakshmi K Nair presided over the function. The chief guest of the eve Prof. Jayakrishnan Vallapuzha, Associate Professor  N. S. S College, Palappuram, inaugurated the  Language Association.  Smt. Mridula K ,Aswathi R and Deepthi P S delivered the felicitations. With the vote of thanks by the Convenor of the  Association, Seethalakshmi N P, the formal function came to an end. This was followed by the cultural programme of students. A medley of Shakespearian characters was performed  before the audience.

M.Ed fleld trip to Thrissur

The starting point was the college. Students assembled at the college by 6:30 am. The trip kick started at 7 am. 31 students and five teaching staff were present. Thrissur museum, zoo, Athirapalli waterfalls, Vazhachal, and Snehatheeram beach were the destinations covered. The morning session was scheduled for the first three points. Vazhachal and beach were covered during the afternoon session. The students were unanimous regarding their opinion about fruitfulness of the trip.

A short term certificate course on yoga begin in our college

The college calls for a short term course on Yoga. It is programme planned by the college to go on with the emerging necessity of Yoga. The course is for 10 days. The course commenced from 18^th March 2016. Candidates who join the course will be awarded a certificate after successful completion. The course will end in the month of June 2016.

The Campus recruitment Programme

The college organized a Campus Recruitment programme on 11^th March 2016. Ongoing and erstwhile student teachers of the college were given opportunity to partake the recruitment rally. Candidates from other colleges were also allowed to seek their chance.  The recruitment progaramme was organized by the College Placement Cell. The programme coordinator was Sri Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, Assistant Professor & in-charge of the placement cell. The programme was very successfully organized with the cordial support of Teaching staff, non teaching staff, Principal and M Ed students.

Laxmi Narayana Group of Education, Ottapalam, Islamic Central School, Ottapalam’ Bavans Vidya Mandir, Ottapalam, St. Raphels Cathedral Central School, Palakkad, PG Study Center, Edappal, Malappuram, AKR Academy, Tirupur, Tamil Nadu were the schools reached to recruit candidates. Other than the schools, Reliance Ottapalam also participated in the session to recruit job seekers for their Banking/finance Wing. More than 400 candidates registered for the recruitment rally.
