Introduction
The IT Club conducted an “App for the Week” session. First year B.Ed English students led the programme. The session focused on the mobile app “Vocabulary Builder”. The aim was to improve vocabulary using digital tools.
Objectives
• Improve English vocabulary
• Promote mobile learning
• Build daily learning habits
• Train student teachers to use apps in teaching
Programme Details
The session began with a brief overview of the initiative. A. Remsiya handled compering. Shravya S presented the app.
Key points covered:
• App purpose and features
• Installation steps
• Account setup
• Learning modes such as quizzes and flashcards
• Daily word practice and revision
A live demo was shown. Students saw how to use the app step by step. Sample activities were demonstrated. The presenter explained progress tracking and daily challenges.
Participation
Students actively engaged in the session. They asked questions and explored the app features during the demo.
Outcome
• Students learned practical vocabulary tools
• Increased interest in mobile learning
• Better awareness of self learning strategies
• Readiness to use apps in classroom teaching
Feedback

Yousafali Kecheri anusmaranam
The Ragam music club,NSS Training College, Ottappalam, conducted a musical tribute to Yousafali Kecheri which was named as അനുരാഗഗാനം പോലെ. Smt. Seema C, Music Club Coordinator, extended a welcome speech to the session. Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar K delivered the keynote address, and Kum. Harsha S Mohan extended a vote of thanks. The event was made memorable by the participation and song presentations of our students 🙏.

'Read to Me Day' celebration and Manuscript Magazine release
English Language Association organized the Read to Me Day on 17 th March 2026. Following the opening prayer Navya welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by the Principal-in-Charge Prof.(Dr.)Suresh Kumar K. Meera Krishnan and Gayathri R. then introduced the theme of the day to the audience. They elaborated on the critical need to read to children. In connection with the function, the Principal-in-Charge released the manuscript magazine'Dreamscape' created by the students of English optional course. The magazine Editor Sruthi V introduced the magazine. Staff Advisor Dr. Ravisankar R. and Faculty -in-Charge Dr. Mridula K., offered felicitations. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Krishna Damodar.
