Awareness class on Amoebic Menongoencephalitis
The Natural Science Association of NSS Training College, Ottapalam conducted an *Awareness Class on Amoebic Meningoencephalitis* on *22nd September 2025* at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall. The programme began with a prayer by Amrutha and by Krishnaveni. Fathima Shifa compered the event, while Annarose K. Anto and Mahira Thesni presented the awareness session. The class highlighted the causes, symptoms, and prevention of the disease. The programme concluded with the National Anthem .it was an informative and impactful session coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Anu S (Teacher-in-Charge) and Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R (Principal-in-Charge).

World Ozone Day 16th September 2025
The Science Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, successfully organized the World Ozone Day Celebration on 16th September 2025 at the General Hall. The theme of the event was “From Science to Global Action.” The program aimed to highlight the importance of the ozone layer, create awareness about the threats posed by its depletion and emphasize the responsibility of each individual in protecting the environment.
The Science Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized an Inter-Department Quiz Competition in connection with World Ozone Day on September 16th, 2025 at 1.00 PM in the General Hall. The programme was held under the guidance of Teacher Co-ordinators Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R and Dr. Anu S, with the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R, Principal-in-charge. The student co-ordinators were Vismaya, Athira, Aparna, and Navaneetha from the Physical Science option. Athira served as the quiz master for the event. After a spirited contest, the first prize was won by Treeza and Athira from the Natural Science option, the second prize by Nimmy and Pooja from the Social Science option, and the third prize by Sunaina and Jetha, also from the Social Science option. The competition concluded successfully with active participation, and attractive prizes were distributed to the winners. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and also highlighted the importance of protecting the ozone layer.

Report on Teachers’ Day Inter Training College Quiz Competition
The IT Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organised an Inter Training College Quiz Competition on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, September 5, to honour the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to celebrate the vital role of teachers in nation-building. The event aimed to encourage student teachers to engage in knowledge enhancement and to promote intellectual interaction across institutions.
The quiz competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from student teachers of various training colleges. The contest tested their awareness, teaching aptitude, and general knowledge, creating a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration.
After an engaging session, the winners were declared as follows:
First Prize: Hisana N
Second Prize: Harsha H Mohan (NSS Training College, Ottapalam)
Third Prize: Leya Susan Mathew (BSS B.Ed. Training College, Alathur)
The winners were congratulated and awarded E-certificates in recognition of their achievement. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. K. S. Sajan, IT Club Coordinator, with the support and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R., Principal in Charge.
The competition not only added value to the Teachers’ Day celebrations but also provided a platform for student teachers to showcase their academic spirit, teamwork, and competitive excellence.
