 Nature Club, NSS Training College,Ottapalam observed World Nature Conservation Day on July 28th.

Magazine release and an expert talk on Communication During Conflicts

 

Magazine release and an expert talk on Communication During Conflicts were conducted by the English Association of NSS Training College, Ottapalam on Monday, 25 July 2022. The teaching faculty and the students from Malayalam and Social Science departments attended the function. Dr. Mridula K, Assistant Professor welcomed the gathering. The function was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Ampili Aravind. The chief guest, Dr. Mallika Balakrishnan released the magazine Meraki. Staff advisor, Dr. Lakshmi. V and student representative Aiswarya. P felicitated the function. The official session was followed by Dr. Mallika Balakrishnan's interactive and engaging session. As a retired Headmistress and a consultant psychologist, she knew the pulse of the students and was able to instil novel perceptions on how to maintain good rapport with the students. The main takeaway of the session was how she conceptualized her idea of teaching- “to focus on the behaviour rather than the individual”. Sruthi from Malayalam option and Penuvia Mathew from Social Science gave their feedbacks on the session. Magazine editor, Afsana. T. H delivered vote of thanks.

Supporting   children means transforming their lives- proclaims NSSTC

    Ottapalam:   NSS Training College, Ottapalam has once again proved that human beings can be sources of goodness even with a very noble deed. A wonderful idea ‘padikkanoruduppu’ was implemented when the teaching and non-teaching community of the college and the students joined hands together with one mind. This free uniform distribution program, which has been implementing for the past fifteen years, has been conducted beautifully this year as well. The uniforms were given to the needy children of NSSKPT school, a sister concern of the college.  College Principal Dr. Ampili Aravind presided over the function and Ottapalam Municipal Vice Chairman Sri. K. Rajesh inaugurated the function. ‘Padikkanoruduppu’ coordinator Dr. Sunil Kumar AS welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Radhika Balachandran, HM, NSSKPT,   Dr. Minikumari D, Dr. Lakshmi V and Shri Suresh Kumar felicitated the function.  All the staff and students of the college and the children who came to receive the uniform graced the programme.

One day Workshop on Academic Writing

*One day Workshop (05/07/2022)*

A one day workshop on Academic Writing was organised on July 5th 2022,Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in NSS Training College Ottapalam. The programme  organised  by e-IJEAS (The Online Research Journal of NSS Training College Ottapalam) was inaugurated by respected Principal, Dr.Ampili Aravind. 

Associate Professor &  chief editor of the journal, Dr Seema Menon KP delivered the programme  description. 

The workshop was addressed primarily upon M.Ed. students, PhD scholars and Teachers of NSS Training College. Dr. KS Sajan ( Assistant professor ), and Dr.Sankaranarayanan Paleeri (Assistant Professor), appeared in the cardinal roles as resource persons of the programme. 

Dr.Sankarayanan Paleeri emphasized upon the importance of content organization and different types of paper presentations,problem selection and the grass root approach in writing an article/paper from the beginning till end. 

Dr. Sajan K S provided a blue print of layout settings, style and referencing in Research papers along with an element of checking plagiarism in contents.

There were 85 active participants in the workshop.  Each of the participants prepared a review paper & a research paper in the workshop.

 Learning aids preparation workshop will be conducted on 4th , 5th , 6th and 7th July 2022 

Remedial Learning Engagement

 Remedial Learning Engagement was carried out for the selected students from each class based on their academic score. Subject experts, Dr. Mridula K, Ms. Sunitha Kumari, Ms. Remya K,  Dr. Lekshmi V, Dr. Sheeba Krishnan were handled the Remedial Learning Session. During this academic year, 5 days were selected for the program. Sessions were conducted on 29-07-2020, 28-10-2020, 16-12-2020,30-06-2021,28-12-2021,30-06-2022.
