Students are requested to bring all necessary certificates like

SSLC or Equivalent Certificate (to verify Name, Age, etc.)
b)  B.Ed mark list and B. Ed (Original/Provisional) Degree Certificate
     (to Prove Qualification)
Community Certificate (for SC/ST)
c) Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for ETB, Muslim, OBH, OBX,   LC/SIUC)
Service Certificate in original (countersigned by competent authority)
BPL Certificate (for forward caste).
TC and Conduct Certificate.
Certificate to prove the disability.
Equivalency Certificate and proof for regular study of B. Ed course (B. Ed from out side Kerala).
The candidates who are in Govt./Aided service shall submit the NOC from the department concerned.

One Day Workshop on “Acquainting with the New Textbook and Methods for 8th Standard of Kerala Schools”

A one day workshop on “Acquainting with the New Textbook and Methods for 8th Standard of Kerala Schools” has organized by Department of Social Science Education, NSS Training College at college seminar hall on 19-11-2014, Wednesday from 19am to 4pm. The work shop was not expansive but simply organized. The program was enriched by 21 Social Science Education Optional teachers of different colleges from Malappuram, Thrissur and Palakkad districts. More than 6 teacher educators of the hosting college also participated the workshop.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Kumari S Girija, Principal, NSSTC Ottapalam, with a brief talk lighted the need of the workshop. The session was followed with an audio conference with Dr. P Bashher, senior lecture DIET Palakkad and SCERT curriculum committee member. He has briefed his ideas to the necessity of social awarenss of social science teachers.
The second session was introduced by Smt. Anitha, Ast Professor, Holy Family CE Koduvayur and was led by Dr. K S Sajan, Ast. Professor, NSSTC and Member, Curriculum committee, SCERT. He has explained all the aspects of new methods and possible reforms of textbook. After this informative session, delegates were organized in three groups and group discussion was conducted to frame outline for the LESSON PLAN for the new approach. The product was submitted to organizers by each group for its makeover.
The workshop was culminated with concluding talk and feed back of Sri Abdul Samad, Ast Professor, Farook Training College, Kottakkal and by Sri. Harris, Ast. Professor, EMEA Training College, Kondotty.
The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Sri Sankaranrayanan Paleeri, HOD, Dept of Social science, NSS training College Ottapalam. National anthem was the beat of the last moment.

Science Show chameleon

Science show 'chameleon ' was organised by physical science department of NSS Training college ottapalam in the presence of teachers ,trainers and selected candidates from NSS KPT Ottapalam. It was an interesting and innovative program which made students to think the facts behind every experiment.Dr.Girija ,Principal innaugurated by spraying phenolphthalene over NaOH coated paper.Followed by an amazing science dance.Students dedicated the show to all scientist.

A class on “Professionalism”

A class on “Professionalism” was conducted in the Social Science optional class on 25/08/14 at 12’o clock; it was a 45 minute class. The class was taken by Mrs.Sreelatha, research scholar, Pondicherry University. “Role of a Social Science teacher in a knowledge society” was the core of the class. The topic for the class is very relevant today, because, even we are educated, we don’t have much ability to react against the evil practices in the society. By saying this she quoted the words “the world suffers a lot not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of the good people”. She also gave us the message that we can’t change anything but changing yourself, you will find the world changes around you”. The class got an end by 12.45 pm with a vote of thanks by Chinju Francis.

English Quiz Held
A quiz competition was held on 8 August 2014, Friday at G.V.H.S.S Cherupulassery by Reshmi.K and Sreelakshmi M. P. ,English teacher trainees of NSS Training college ,Ottapalam.  The quiz competition was held for 9th standard students . Among the participants, Athira and Roshna of 9-I recieved the first and second prizes, respectively .

English teacher trainees (Geetha Lakshmi and Ramitha) organized a skit at L.S.N convent, Ottapalam based on the ballad 'The Enchanted Shirt' written by John Hay.  Students themselves wrote the script and enacted the visual representation of the ballad.

Quiz competition held
  As part of teaching practice, English teaching trainees (sreeshma and sunitha) from English option conducted a quiz competition on  4-7-2014 for high school students at koonathara G.V.H.S.S.The quiz was held in four rounds. The first, second and third prizes in the quiz were bagged by Varsha from 9 B, Harsha from 9 A , Anurag from 10 B, respectively.

Poster competition held.
The teacher trainees Deepasree and Shyama O. K of B.Ed English conducted a poster competition at G. H. S. S Vadanamkurshi on 1st August 2014. For the effective conduct of programme, different teams comprising of four students each from 9A, 8G, 8A, 9D were short listed for the competition. Students of 9A emerged as the winners of the programme.

Under the leadership of the English teaching trainees at G.V.H.S.S. Pathiripala, students were asked to prepare a magazine exclusively for English. The Magazine was titled as 'Floral Dreams'. Principal Smt. Kanakamani released the magazine on 8th July 2014.
